 Erin K. Matthews Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney Ray Larson announced that Erin K. Matthews was sworn in as an Assistant Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney. Erin is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from Centre College. She earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Richmond, in Richmond, Virginia. Sally is a native of Marietta, Georgia. She graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in English and received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. The Annual State Mock Trial Championship was held this year at the Kenton County Courthouse on November 13 -14, 2009. The tournament featured six teams, two teams from each of the Kentucky law schools – University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Chase. Each team is required to prepare the same case and be prepared to present either the prosecution’s case or the defense’s case, beginning with motions and ending with closing arguments. The teams use students from their schools to play the witnesses.
