As Fayette County's Commonwealth's Attorney, one of my goals has been to be responsive to the citizens of our community. Those who live, work or visit Lexington have a right to feel safe and secure here.

The Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office continually strives to develop policies and programs aimed at improving the quality of life in our community, protecting victims, and seeking timely sanctions for those who choose to violate our laws.

Three primary rules guide our office as we deal with those individuals whose behavior has brought them to court. They are:

Every person should be treated the same under the same facts;
Every person should be held responsible for their conduct; and
Every person should suffer consequences for violating the law.

The prosecutors in the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office are a diverse group. Although all come from various places and diverse backgrounds, they have a great deal in common. They are all bright and articulate men and women. They all have an incredible work ethic, each possesses a good heart, and a dedication to the safety of our community and it's citizens.

The men and women who prosecute these serious crimes in Lexington come in every size, shape, race and gender. I am proud that our staff is truly a reflection of our community, and it should be.

Assistant Commonwealth's Attorneys:
Lou Anna Red Corn
	Lou Anna Red Corn serves as First Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a member of the Osage Indian Tribe. She attended the University of Kentucky and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, as well as a law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. She has been a prosecutor for 18 years and has become an expert in the investigation and prosecution of the sexual abuse of children.

Kimberly Henderson Baird
	Kimberly Henderson Baird is from Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky, where she earned a degree in Business Administration and Management. She earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. She has been a prosecutor since 1996 and has developed a program which takes the prosecutor's office to Lexington’s neighborhoods.

Traci C. Caneer
	Traci Caneer is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Lexington Catholic High School, the University of Kentucky with a degree in Communications, and the University of Kentucky College of Law. She has been a prosecutor for 8 years and has developed a specialty in investigating and prosecuting crimes against the elderly.

Kathy Phillips
	Kathy Phillips is from Paducah, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Indiana University and the University of Kentucky College of Law. She served as a public defender before joining the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney's Office in 1997. She has developed an expertise in the area of sexual assault and domestic violence. As a result of her expertise, she focuses on serious crimes involving both sexual assault and domestic violence.

Daniel M. Laren
	Dan Laren was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Michigan. After an honorable discharge from the United States Army Military Police Corps he earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1996 and was a prosecutor in Paintsville, Kentucky before joining the staff of the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in Lexington in 1997. His focus is on the investigation and prosecution of burglary cases.

Cynthia T. Rieker
	Cindy Rieker is from Richmond, Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky, earned her Bachelor of Sciences Degree in English and Paralegal Studies from Eastern Kentucky University, and her law degree from the University of Kentucky in 1991. After serving as a Staff Attorney for the 25^th Judicial Circuit, she began her prosecution career in 1993 at the Fayette County Attorney�s Office as an Assistant County Attorney. She joined the staff of the Commonwealth's Attorney�s Office in 1997. During her 14 years as a prosecutor she has developed an expertise in the investigation and prosecution of drug crimes and violent crimes.

Carolyn L. Miller
	Carolyn L. Miller is a 1994 graduate of Emory University and a 1998 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. Serving as a law clerk throughout law school with the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, she was appointed as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Fayette County in 1999. In addition to her trial responsibilities, her practice focuses on victim issues. In this capacity, she is responsible for coordinating programs focusing on restitution, Megan's Law, Flagrant Non-Support, and other financial crimes.


Andrea Mattingly Williams
	Andrea Mattingly Williams is from Bardstown, Kentucky. She graduated from Centre College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a minor in History. She earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. She joined the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in May, 2005.

Corinda K. Krebs
	Corinda K. Krebs was born in Provo, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, and earned her law degree from the University of Utah's S. J. Quinney College of Law in May of 2005. Corinda passed the Nevada Bar and joined the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in December of 2005, where she worked with the Cease-Fire Project, a gun violence prevention initiative. After passing the February 2006 Kentucky Bar exam, she joined the office as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney.

Shawna L. Virgin
	Shawna Virgin is a native of Greenup County, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Psychology. She also obtained her law degree from the University of Kentucky in 2000. She worked in this office from 2000 - 2003 before going to work as an Assistant Commonwealth�s Attorney in the 14th Judicial Circuit, where she worked from 2003 until August of 2006. She rejoined the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth�s Attorney�s Office in September of 2006.

Jason D. Moore
	Jason Dean Moore is from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He graduated from Transylvania University with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science. He earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky and has been a prosecutor for two years. He previously worked in Eastern Kentucky focusing on the prosecution of drug crimes. Jason joined the staff in October of 2006.

James Havey
	Jim Havey is from Independence, Kentucky. He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Philosophy. Jim earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He previously served as an Assistant at the offices of the Pike and Fayette County Attorneys and at the Office of the Kentucky Attorney General. He joined the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in February of 2007.

Susan Bryson Speckert
	Susan Bryson Speckert is a native of Bradenton, Florida, and relocated to Lexington after living in New Orleans, Louisiana for seventeen years. She graduated from Loyola University, New Orleans, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature, earned her Master's Degree in Literature from the Louisiana State University, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University of New Orleans School of Law. She previously worked as a law clerk for the Hon. Eldon E. Fallon, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and as an attorney with the firm of Stoll, Keenon, Ogden, PLLC. Susan joined the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in July of 2007.

Erin S. Hayne
	Erin S. Hayne was born in Charleston, West Virginia. She relocated to Lexington and attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana with degrees in English Writing and Spanish. Erin then received her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. After interning at the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office during law school, Erin joined the staff as a prosecutor in August of 2007. Her focus is on the prosecution of cases involving guns and her interest is in the prosecution of internet crimes.
Brandon Faulkner
	Brandon Faulkner is from Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and received his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. After interning at the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office during law school, Brandon joined the staff as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney.
Commonwealth's Detective:

Patrick Michael Malone
	Mike Malone is originally from East Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the United States Coast Guard, after which he attended the University of Kentucky for both undergraduate and law degrees. He served as a prosecutor in the office for 28 years and returned from retirement to serve as Commonwealth�s Detective in September of 2006.
Victims' Advocates:

Robin Anderson
	Robin Anderson is from Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and a minor in Psychology. Robin joined the staff of the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in October of 2000 as a Crime Victims' Advocate, specializing in crimes against the elderly. Robin is the Director of the Victim's Services Unit. She serves as a liaison between this office and the Crime Victim's Compensation Board.

Kathryn R. High
	Kathy High was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services. More recently, she attended the University of Kentucky to work toward a Masters in Social Work degree. Kathy has been a Crime Victim's Advocate in the office since October of 2000, working primarily on cases involving child victims. Kathy serves on the Fayette County Multi-Disciplinary Team on Child Sexual Abuse.

Briana Gaylord
	Briana Gaylord is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. She has worked with many youth and adults in Lexington and surrounding counties. As a Crime Victim's Advocate since February of 2002, she works primarily with burglary and youthful offender cases.

Kelli Kearney
	Kelli Kearney is from Henderson, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Before joining the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, she was a Family Advocate at the Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass, working with child victims of sexual abuse and their families. She also worked at The House of Ruth, a domestic violence shelter in Dothan, Alabama, as a Domestic Violence Educator. As a Crime Victim's Advocate, Kelli specializes in crimes against the elderly. She joined the staff of the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in September, 2005.

Brad Bryant
	Brad Bryant is from Louisville, Kentucky. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Centre College and his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. His focus is on the investigation and prosecution of crimes involving firearms.

Elizabeth H. Davis
	Elizabeth H. Davis was born in Ashland, Kentucky. She graduated from Sweet Briar College in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Spanish and received her law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. After interning at the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office during law school, Elizabeth joined the staff as a prosecutor in August, 2004. Her focus is on the prosecution of cases involving guns.


Lori Boling
	Lori Boling is from Hancock County, Kentucky. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky College of Law. While a law student, she served as a Court Designated Worker for the Administrative Office of the Courts and dealt with juveniles charged with serious offenses. She joined the staff of the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in 2003. Her area of responsibility is the investigation and prosecution of repeat offenders and juveniles whose crimes qualify them to be treated as adults.
