Clay Co. Judge Executive, Road Foreman
Plead Not Guilty

(LEX18.com Reports)  The Clay County judge executive and road foreman indicted on several charges pleaded not guilty.

Judge Executive Joe Asher and Buford Jarvis were indicted for abuse of public trust, bribery of a public servant and criminal possession of a forged instrument. The indictment stems from incidents in 2015 and 2016 alleging that the men used public money to do work at people’s homes and then billed them for labor.

“In one case from Woodford County, Harvey said his office prosecuted not only the person who sold the victim the drugs, but also that person’s drug supplier. He said that was a first for his office.”

Bodycam footage ‘proves cop was RIGHT to shoot armed man whose death sparked Milwaukee riots because he was raising his gun’

*** Sylville K Smith was shot dead by police on Saturday sparking riots
*** Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett said a still from police body cams showed the suspect was armed with more ‘firepower than the officer’
*** Police Chief Edward A Flynn who has also watched the footage said the cop shot Smith after he refused to drop his gun
*** Both Smith and the unidentified officer are black, according to Barrett
*** His death led to riots and violent clashes between protesters and police
*** At least one person was shot as police clashed with protesters during a second night of riots on Sunday
